Back-light Failure

My 18 month old UE43AU7100KXXU has suffered a back-light failure. 

Tech support weren't that helpful and just said "book a repair, it's out of warranty". 

My question is - is it worth it? I don't know how much it is to repair but I'm unsure about the product quality. I've had many Samsung products and never needed a repair.

Hi @Jurph  costs can vary depending on factors so difficult to give definitive answer without reaching out to Samsung support.  However I have some sites giving a figure  from  around £200 fo a generic LED backlight repair.   The AU7100 was released in 2021 mind you.
