Use tablet as phone, real phone has dead battery

Hi. My phone won't switch on anymore, so I can't scan the QR code to use my phone account on this A7 tablet. It's an old 2011 Samsung phone. I know the number and can get the SIM card out, but no power. Can anyone advise?

Does your A7 have a SIM card slot?

If it's a 2011 phone then the SIM is very likely a full size SIM and incompatible with your tablet. In which case, you'll need to contact your Mobile Service provider and ask for a modern SIM card for your number (micro or nano SIM, but it'll likely come with an adapter to fit all 3 sizes).
