Samsung Tab S6 lite v22

I have received a new tablet and set it up, I am now trying to wipe the old one. For some reason the Samsung App keeps crashing, I can't connect to WiFi and the hard reset with the volume, power and home keys just puts into into safe mode. 3 fmdays I've been at this but I cannot do the factory reset.

Does anyone have any suggestions??

Plug into a pc or laptop and retry the home key/volume key combinations. It should boot into the recovery menu where you can wipe the device.

I did this on my ancient laptop. It worked. Thank you so much. I had lost all hope, but it's done now.
