S6 tab password?

I have just purchased a new S6 lite tab.

Set it all up. This morning it needs a screen lock password to get into it.

I have no recollection of creating a screen lock password for it.  So where is it getting a password from?

Have searched the internet for answers, but I am stuck because:

I cannot power it off - it wants a password for that

I cannot do a factory reset - because it wants a password to power it off first

So, what do I do now?

Can anyone help, please?

You would need to speak to support, they may ask for proof of purchase before helping you

That's a conundrum if you didn't set up this security protocol @SY87  🤔

Did you buy the tablet brand new  ?

Can you ask the merchant where you purchased the tablet from to assist ?
