Variable ringtone volume

When the mobile phones have an optical sensor to adjust the screen brightness as per the ambience, why can they not have an acoustic sensor to adjust the ringtone volume everytime the phone rings?

In a silent area, the ringtone volume should be mild & in a noisy surrounding the ringtone should be deafening.

Is this feature too difficult to add?
