Backing apps in splitscreen

Often I find myself writing in samsung notes on one half of the screen and researching something on google on the other. When I try to get back to previous google page by swiping from the edge of the screen, the most recently touched app is getting backed, which is samsung notes. It would make a huge difference if the app being backed would be the one from which side the screen gets swiped. It doesnt matter that much on phones, but on tablets it is quite annoying and counterintuitive.
