Warning for trade ins

Hi

Just a warning . ..do not use samsung to trade in your old smart phone. They use an external company that will contact you once they have received your phone to try and get more money out of you.

They allege your phone will have 'screen burn' and ask for £75. 

Please go on trust pilot and read the reviews for the uk company to confirm.

In Northern Ireland samsung use DPD, and in my experiences using trade in, ive never had anything like it.

Sorry to hear you're unhappy about MTR.

I sent a pixel 6 pro for trade in last week.. It arrived on the Wednesday and on Sunday received an email to say order complete. Never had an issue with Samsung Trade In myself.

One of the T&C's of the trade in offer specifically stated your device must not have screen burn.....

Not had any issues over the years I've traded in.
If its an older phone and they've seen screen burn, then you can disagree and get the phone back. Just have to pay the balance or send the new phone back

I've been fine using it for years. Seen others with screen burn have there claim accepted.

I've never had that whenever I trade in, I must've traded in about 10 electronic devices in all phones, tablets and watches.

Word of advice though, always take pictures of the device before hand, or even video it as you package it up 🙂

@timmyb69 have you used the Trade-In option and been asked to pay £75 ?

I've used the Samsung Trade-In option twice.

One was inside a Samsung Experience Store and the second was to send off a phone.

Both occasions resulted in an agreeable outcome.

I've used the trade in 4 times now (including my S23 Ultra now) and never had a problem.

Aren't DPD just the courier company that deliver the phone to the trade-in assessors?
