Nope, have never experienced that an update would shut down my mobile- or wifi-data... I'm curious, what device do you have, and what was this unannounced update supposed to fix? Did you save any screenshots?

Thank you Gabba, that information helped me getting a bit closer a solution.
In my I have dual card from two different carriers in my A51, but only internet from one of the carriers stopped working.
When I turn Bluetooth off, 4G works fully again.
Hopefully Samsung will release a fix soon.
