It looks like my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has also fallen victim to its battery expanding. The battery had been replaced in late March/early April 2019 when I had the screen replaced due to OLED screen burn.

What can I get done about this?

@RorschachKovacs: I'm sorry to hear that you have encountered this issue with your Galaxy Note 8. Did you get your screen and battery replaced at an authorised Samsung Service Centre? If so, and if you are based in the UK or Ireland, please send a private message to Sam_UK by following the steps in the link below, and myself or one of the other mods will be able to get this escalated for you.

Buy a new battery is the short answer but you'll need to have the back resealed if you want it to stay dry and dust free. Only option is to have it repaired by a samsung repair centre if you want to keep the phone or buy a new one. Samsung always have offers going on.
