@PaulH77: If your S9 was purchased/intended for use outside the USA, then you will encounter compatibility issues with some apps and features, due to software variances that exist in our phones from region to region. You should also ensure that you make a 5-10 minute cumulative call to a local number from inside your current region, using a local network SIM, as this will unlock the phone for use with networks in the US.
If the phone was purchased/intended for use in the USA, then you should be fine, aside from some potential compatibility issues with apps that require Android 11 or higher.
