My main credit card (Citi AAdvantage) isn't compatible with Google wallet (yes, this is ridiculous but I confirmed it via search), but it works fine on Samsung pay. My work credit card (Divvy) isn't compatible with Samsung pay but works in Google wallet. 🤦🏻
For the last 6 months, I have kept Samsung pay as my default NFC payment app. I have a shortcut for Google wallet on my main home screen and just tapped that to load my work card when I traveled for work.
This past week, this stopped working. When I tried to tap with Google wallet, it kept opening Samsung pay over Google Wallet. I have the setting "pay with currently open app" enabled.
Is there anything else I can tweak to fix this? I hate having to get my physical card out of my wallet for every transaction, especially at the airport where I'm usually carrying a bunch of stuff.
TIA for any advice you can offer!

You could always try clearing the cache of the apps concerned @prosan98
And if absolutely necessary delete the cards to reset it all up.
If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care. 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

I just switched the defaults and it's working fine again. Thanks.
