No Samsung Pay, no updates, stuck with EUX European CSC

I just received my S21 Ultra today and found that Samsung Pay displayed messages in German and would not work. Upon investigation it appears to be locked on the EUX CSC instead of BTU and as a result I also don't receive firmware updates.

Reading around, it appears Italy had a similar issue requiring a last-minute firmware push to resolve. I've also read that this can happen if you turn your phone on for the first time without a sim card already inserted.

I can't find any way to change the CSC, previous mechanisms pre Android 11 no longer work and I've tried factory resets etc to no avail.

Am I alone in this?

Hi @SachikoT , @Sam_UK  i just bought a new Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra (512GB - 16GB RAM) from Samsung in Sweden, i suffered exactly the same issue with EUX CSC, i tried all tricks mentioned here in the posts but with no luck! I have now returned the phone to Samsung Shop/Sweden and waiting for another device but afraid to face the same issue, Samsung Support in Sweden had no clue at all about a such issue, they couldn't help much!

What is your input about this issue? Should i use another SIM card (i have a prepaid card from another carrier than my primary one) or what should i actually do to avoid my new phone picking up the wrong CSC than NEE (which is for Nordic countries)?

Please advice. Thanks!

I've read that put sim in before powering on the phone should prevent wrong csc being set, I powered up before putting in sim.. so could be reason I had csc issue

There was no need to send the phone back, now you're waiting even longer for a resolution. Have patience and it will fix itself in a few days.

I am facing the exact same issues with a Galaxy S21 in Switzerland on the mobile provider yallo.

Bought it a couple of days ago, but neither the workarounds above worked for me, nor did the problem resolve itself. Am I correct that returning the phone is the final option then? (I don't want to manually mess with the phone via samkey.org or something like that.)

Anyone else from Switzerland maybe that was able to fix the problem?

Always super cautious about using 3rd party firmware, maybe do a search on network sim provide for the problem rather  than samsung c21...

My workaround was trying different methods of sim in, sim out.... power off or just reset... WiFi off or clear WiFi settings and leaving off until csc fixed.

Yea that's the problem, I spent so much time trying all the options in various orders, and none of it helped 😕

So I'm getting this exact problem on my newly arrived z flip 3. How do I resolve?

I was only able to resolve this by inserting a SIM card of another provider. All attempts with my own and other ones from the same provider failed.

Same problem (Samsung Pay will not work)  on a new Fold 3, (UK) supplied directly from Samsung UK. Any idea how to fix this?

Samsung seem unconcerned when I tried to get help from the chat service. Terrible customer service, how is it that Samsung think this is OK.
