July 23 update loses recents again

Recent apps are missing again from the home screen after the July update. To be precise they are not missing but you cannot see them as the recents screen icons are so greyed out they are almost invisible.

I had the same problem - those apps in the bottom of the recently used apps were nearly impossible to see.

Mine got fixed by restarting the phone. While it was starting, Galaxy App Booster screen flashed for a moment, so maybe it is necessary to optimize apps if only restart doesn't help.

Also, updated all apps through Play Store.
