What's the point of using finger print scanner on your phones lockscreen. every 10 times of using  it wants my pin code to prove its me. It ether thinks someone as cut my finger off or my fingerprint is not me.

I found carrying my S9+ at the time. With a thin case on it, my palm would touch the sensor a number of times and I'd have to put in the code.
Thing is the sensor on mine wasn't the best and I'd regularly have to put my code in
Maybe try re-register your fingerprints
Could be it's not registered it properly
Can try clearing the Partition Cache of the phone as by now would have lots stored that could interfere with settings
Do make sure you have the latest software update as well

Yeah I'm the same 1 min it works the next I'm having to either use other finger on pin number. And don't get me started on the camera
