I have this issue Galaxy S23. Comfort shield set to custom hours but does not turn off at the set time.

@Azc45 Could you please try clearing the data of Eye comfort shield? You can do so by heading to Settings > Apps > Three lines next to 'Your apps' > Show system apps > OK > Eye comfort shield > Storage > Clear data. Please also ensure it has permission to change your system settings by tapping 'Change system settings' when in the App info window > Ensure Allow permission is toggled ON.
Once you've done that, perform a soft reset on your phone by pressing and holding the Side and Volume Down keys together until you see the Samsung logo.

Hi AshP_,
I tried your suggestion on my A34 but, unfortunately, it made no difference.
I have found that if I unlock with my fingerprint from the Always On Display then the Eye comfort shield does not turn off. If, however, I click the power button so that the standard lock screen is on (rather than the Always On Display) then the Eye comfort shield does turn off when I unlock with my fingerprint from the brighter lock screen, but it is only turned off temporarily for that session. If I lock the screen again and then unlock it with my fingerprint from the Always On Display then the Eye comfort shield is active again.
The bug seems to be related to the power state and/or brightness of the screen. When the screen is mostly black/off when showing the Always On Display then the Eye comfort shield does not turn off properly.

My phone received a software update since I posted above and, fingers crossed, the problem with the eye comfort shield not turning off in the morning seems to have gone away at last.
