Smart Switch Question?

I have up graded from a Huawei Psmart to the Galaxy S23+ and used Smart Switch via wi-fi. Tried twice as thought something was wrong as none of the apps came across - is that normal, apps don't transfer using smart switch?

So one has to re-download each app wanted on new phone and then re-sort them to where one wants them on new phone?

Was rather hoping all would switch across using smart switch to save time and be in same layout as had on old phone.

What a ball-ache if that's not the case - so much for smart switch - more like part switch!

Never used smart switch. Most people who use smartswitch seem to have issues.

Besides the joy of seeing up a new phone from scratch is blissful.

I just add apps as and when I need them. The rest is all backed up on Google One.

I suspect it has something to do with Huawei phones being banned from Google play store and the apps. Did you side load Google play store into your p smart? Or use Apks? The way smart switch works is that it tells your Samsung phone which apps to download from the play store that are not already pre installed. I hope this makes sense?
