Missing Photos from my Samsung A14

Hi there! I noticed that after Google backed up my photos, they just disappeared from my Samsung A14 Gallery.  Help please.

After Back up did you select free up space option in Google photos if so that deletes the photos in your phone Internal Memory

You can individually select each photo in Google photos and re download them. Yes, they will store them to downloads. Internal memory open photo swipe up download option

Just a precaution too In Google photos library utilities You can.
Move photos to locked folder you choose to use, make sure you do not delete or uninstall Google photos as it deletes all photos in the locked folder
