Issues with home screen and a ghost app

Hi, 

I've got a ghost app appearing on my screen. It's an app that's on my phone,  but it's not pinned to the home screen. It's sudden started appearing every time I open my phone,  overlayed over another pinned app. Bit you can't select it etc. 

Is a visual pain and won't go away.

I don't want to remove the app, as its a parking app that I use.  Any suggestions?

In the screen shot below you can see it overlaying the other pinned app which is the one that gets selected if you touch that area. 

Any suggestions would be welcome.

So a few restarts managed to get rid of the problem for now.  I'm hoping it's a permanent fix. But of anyone else has had the issue and found the underlying cause, I'd appreciate a steer on solving the problem properly.

You may have it setup to pop up as a floating app that can overlay other apps.
