How to change the Samsung_Android name?

When two phones are connected to the car's media system, they are both identified as "Samsung_Android". So you're unable to tell which one is currently running Android Auto without some manual intervention.

Is there any way to change this name (Samsung_Android) so we can clearly identify who's phone is connected and switch between them?

Just looked at mine you click settings, then scroll down and click about phone, you should then see edit at the top of the screen click that and change the name, hope this helps

No. I already have that changed. When connected, the system is not reading that name.

The "Samsung_Android" seems to be from the USB connection/driver to the media system.

Unfortunately, No. Seems to be a system thing that you can't modify externally.
