App issues, Clear Cache - Phone or just specific apps

I had a problem whereby an app alert would not show on my watch or mobile.
After a few obvious notification checks, I decided to clear the app storage data and app cache, result problem solved aside from reconfiguring the app.

I know it is recommended to perform a phone clear cache after a major update and run Good Guardians.


Question with multiple app updates a week, surely some apps maybe required a regular storage data and app cache?
 

I find gremlins disappear and sometime even missed options appear, maybe je result of endless apps installs over and over again.

You should do that after most updates if you've been encounting any issues with the app before hand.
