I've just got a new A15 5G, and the first thing I did was download the Samsung Music app from the Play Store - I don't like streaming.
Had a long drive today, and found that I could not get the Samsung music app to integrate with Google Maps when I was driving, so that the mini player overlaid the bottom of the Google Maps screen (as usually happens).
I can add Spotify (which I do not want on Maps) as a "default media app", and that's it (see screenshot below). The only other music app on my phone is Samsung Music.
If I uninstall Spotify, Android still doesn't recognise Samsung Music as a media app.
I've also tried this with Google Assistant and Google Auto disabled, still doesn't work.
So is the problem with the latest versions of Samsung Music app, Android, Google Maps, or is it something to do with the new A15 5G?
Any help or suggestions much appreciated, this is driving me nuts
