Washing machine: in middle of cycle, burning smell, stopped cycle, fuse blown, changed fuse but does not turn on

Hi

I started a wash cycle, in the middle of the run I smelled a burning smell from that room, the machine turned off in the middle of the cycle. I tried restarting, it did not work. I checked the fuse, it had blown, changed the fuse and plugged it back in but it still did not turn on.
