hello if drum has resistance when turning then it might be stopping to not cause damage to either motor or drum .
is your washing machine an internet connected model? - if it is then download the smarthings app to your mobile phone and there is a diagnostics check inside the app that tests certain components of your machine - try that first and see if it reports everything is OK.
Does this happen on all cycles? If so, try using the machine with an empty load. Does the same thing happen?
