Unable to go into recovery mode

My z-flip 3 has had the latest update and like may others with the same model, the phone is overheating constantly and going through battery like there's no tomorrow.

I've tried everything suggested and no joy, I cannot wipe the partition cache as my phone will not go into recovery mode, what shall I do?
