No option to upload from my files

I have noticed recently that when I have been asked to upload a file for example when asked to prove id and upload a photo of my passport it doesn't give me the option to upload the photo that I have got in my gallery all I get is the option to take a photo or video or voice recording. I know that I used to be able to select the file option before and just upload the photo from my gallery. I don't know if this is something that I can sort out by changing my settings or not?

@ajknighty: Which browser app are you using, and have you tried an alternative option to see if the issue persists? Access to your media may be restricted by your permissions, therefore I recommend heading to Settings > Apps > Select the relevant browser app > Permissions > Photos and videos > Allowed. Let me know how you get on.
