This was my battery usage on my S21 Ultra with one hour gaming  2 years ago.

Linking my post when I first got my S21 ultra.

11 Hours SoT here

Do You guys think there is an improvement with the S23 Ultra?

Apart from Real Racing 3
I don't really do much gaming on my phone.
What I can say is that I have noticed at the end of the day that my battery has more availabile than my S22 Ultra had.
But it will really depend on the processing demand a particular game has on the phones processor

SOT is a poor way of measuring battery life as everyone uses their phones in a different way
The two posts show this in the list of apps that have used the battery storage

I have seen people getting crazy 8-10 hours SOT out of the S23 Ultra. Which is really good.

It's then when I realised to check my SOT on my S21 Ultra and realised that We were getting almost similar SOT 2 years ago.

It just shows that Samsung is capable of optimising their phones like crazy if they want to.

My S21 ultra is also the exynos version for reference.

PS. Totally agree with you on SOT and apps involved. But it's still an indicator.
The reason Netflix in my second post gives.more SOT is because streaming apps reduce to 48 htz -60htz.

I can see how some get such great SOT
I got almost 9 hrs from my Z Fold 4 a while ago. So in the right circumstances it's definitely possible.
But if I can get over a day from my phone I'm happy 😁

S23 ultra is outstanding, considering I'm getting high screen on time even when the phones been idle for one to two days, so imagine if I used it instead of it sitting idle.
It would definitely be over 11 hour's.

Is this with full-blown settings?

I have always used my S21 ultra with wqhd, 120htz, 5g, Bluetooth (watch and headphones) smart tag and offline find, etc. And recently on light mode.

I have seen a lot of people using the S23 Ultra on fhd+

But Yeah I do get it has 2-3 hours more compared to the S21 ultra.

Interesting that your Google services are quite low with so much usage.
I am sure that's helping with the battery as well.
Maybe Samsung has tamed google services running amok in the background.

WQHD is standard for me, Bluetooth for my G4 classic, 120hz, 5g, WiFi, earphones every so often, no smart tag used, as you can see light mode.1677147340514_1677147340509_0.jpg

To be fair even on my s21 ultra the Google services was pretty low also. Found some of my s21ultra screen on time & as I said before Google services is pretty low.
I always keep my phones optimised.

13 hours 😲. Do share your settings.

So the S21 ultra is more then capable for crazy battery . Wonder why the S23 is hyped so much for the battery life.

It should, I believe I could get over 13 hours easy if I tried, going by my battery stats.
I'll try it over the weekend & get back to you.
The s21 utra's Sot was from 21st February 2021, I would of posted it in the members app.
Back then I would have AOD on, WiFi on, dark mode on, wifi power saving mode, would of turned off Bluetooth, vibration, WQHD, nearby scanning, WiFi & Bluetooth scanning.
That's all I can remember off my head.
Now just remembered I believe I can match that if not beat that on my s23 ultra with all those settings still on, thats why people are so hyped about it.
In my opinion.
