I have been using a Rode VideoMic Go II (usb-C to usb-C) on Android devices for a while, but there seems to be an issue with using it on the S23. The mic is recognised and seems to be making a decent recording, but when I open the files in Audacity that isn't the case. The recordings show a peak amplification of -3.522dB; one made immediately after using only the in-built mic had a peak of 20.629dB, so the microphone seems to have completely hindered the recording. For reference a good recording with the mic on my Google Pixel would be in the 30-40dB bracket. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?
