Samsung pass on Android V14 Samsung S22 keeps popping up.

Very annoying the Samsung Pass app cannot be deleted like any normal app. Anyway as the subject states. This Samsung Pass app keeps popping up when I want to use passkeys. I have my own password manager and want to keep it that way.

I already did the following:

- Deleted the device where Samsung Pass is used (click on the three dots and remove the device).

- Set my own password manager as the preferred autofill (radiobutton is set).

When I try to register at https://webauthn.io/ for testing then only the Samsung Pass is selectable. What I do is registering the passkey on another device.  So on https://webauthn.io/ I fill in a name, press Register, choose on another IPhone, Ipad or Android device. Then the QR code is scanned. In the next popup only the Samsung Pass option is available

I use android 14.

Hope somebody can solve this.

Are you using the Samsung Internet browser? Samsung Pass then pops up. In Chrome, you should see more options.

Thanks for your response. What I do is registering the passkey on another device via Chrome.  So on https://webauthn.io/ I fill in a name, press Register, choose on another IPhone, Ipad or Android device. Then the QR code is scanned. In the next popup only the Samsung Pass option is available (I will add this info to the original version).

I am not sure why it does not show other options. I do see the option of scanning QR code and authenticating via another device (when using Samsung Internet browser).
