Mismatched Folder content (Camera) Vs File Manager

Hi There,

I recently updated my S22 to Android 14 UI 6 and noticed 

 something very annoying. 

My Camera folder through Camera app shows 622 images and 54 videos however when trying to access through File Manager, it only shows 199 images. Funny thing is that if I connect my S22 to a PC or a Laptop, it only shows that there are only 199 files in the folder (I tried different cables, rebooted both PC and S22) it still shows 199 files in the folder.

I also tried deleting cache etc, nothing helped

It could be that you have photos/videos in OneDrive, but not physically present on the device and therefore the difference.

No, These are on my device, Not on One drive or Google Drive. I can see all the images going through the "Galary App" of the Camera but the File Manager on The Device also shows and lists 199 images

Do you have Gallery sync with OneDrive turned on?

I just checked on mine and I see different counts in Gallery and My Files when the sync is turned on (photos are shown in the Gallery Camera folder, but are actually in the cloud) and same count when the sync is turned off.

nope, I dont use any cloud storage service
