I bought a note 20 ultra several months back, I bought it of a refurbished phone website it is in cracking conditions its practically brand new.

What I have come to find out it is a snapdragon model. Not an issue by the way. But one thing I have noticed is 5g is very slow I'm on ID mobile (3uk) I had a pixel 6 Pro before and was getting 800mb+ speedtests on 5g on the note 20 ultra I can't get anything above 30-50mb.

Has anyone else got a similar issue ? Think it's a band issue with the snapdragon phone. I'm happy to move network but want to know which one works best on the snapdragon model for 5g speeds.

Many thanks.

Three have 140mhz of 5G spectrum and can easily achieve over 800+ mbps there's a new Phase 8 site in my street and I get over 1gbps most I've had is 1.4 gbps

On 3, you can get nearly a maximum of 600 if you're very, very lucky.

There is a different type of 5g modem in an international phone tipcaly from America so you see in the UK 5g can reach speeds around 200- 300 mbps and in America up to 1gb per second however the issue America had was conitivity reliability that ment if you walked behind a tree or in a building 5g was lost. UK solution was slower 5g but more of a reliable connection. When your out and you have a 5g signal have a look at the 5g logo if it filled in your getting full 5g speeds however if your 5g logo looks hollo like an outline then your not getting full 5g speeds. I have a YouTube channel and I talk about these things (lorenzo Angeles) hope this helps

Depends where you are, like me and another user have said we have both had over 1gb. My issue is probably to do with 5g bands. Does anyone else have a note 20 ultra in the UK that's a snapdragon model what network works best ?

It sounds like you have a Chinese or Korean version of the phone, which only supports one of the 2 5G bandwidths on Three in the UK. So you're picking up some 5G and it may not be what you're used to, as your previous phone supported both 5G bandwidths.

You could try dialing *#*#4636#*#* to see if it's possible to switch on the uk 5g bands
