Since this new Android 14 update, the 6.0, my phone has been lagging like crazy.

Everytime I try to leave an app and open another, it bugs. I don't if it's my phone or the update but my bet is on the latter, since it wasn't like this before. It was right after I updated, everyday it lags and my phone screen goes completely black to the lock screen for no reason.

I've the A53 as one of my backup phones and it's flying after that update. You should always clear the cache partition after any update. If you don't know how to do it. Go on YouTube and search for it.

Try Wiping the Partition Cashe on the phone
Wiping the Partition Cashe clears out a lot of old or corrupted information that can cause issues

Follow the steps below. You must follow every step and you should be done in about a minute

Turn off your phone.

Connect your phone with a USB cable
to PC or another Samsung mobile

You will see the charging icon on your screen.
Wait till it shows charging with battery percentage.

Next, press and hold the Volume up and Side key simultaneously.
You can press the volume up button just before the Side key.
The Samsung Logo followed by
Samsung Galaxy appears on the
screen.

At this point, release the keys
Phone will boot into Android Recovery mode

In Android recovery mode, using Volume keys, choose "Wipe Cache
Partition" .
Use the power button to accept that.
You will then see its cleared.

You can also go into repair apps before going into rebooting

Then the top option, reboot phone.
Press the power button to reboot the phone and then sign in normally

Well it's good practice to back up regularly anyway.
Wiping the Partition Cashe doesn't affect any of you files like photos etc.
All that gets cleared are old files, cookies, corrupted data etc from the Partition Cashe
All other stuff won't be affected.

I read that a factory reset after a major update allows the phone to adjust better
