No email LED notification on A24

Just got my new A24 set up (replaced an S9, and before that an S6), and can't find any way to make the LED blink when I receive an email.

I use Outlook and Gmail apps for my two email addresses. Is there any way I can get the phone's LED to blink when I receive an email? Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I seem to have been through every sub-branch of every setting on the phone several times 😡

In the actual phone settings you can't do that but if you download this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jamworks.alwaysondisplay you can.

Samsung removed that feature a while ago on new phones, you can use Edge lighting if you want and I believe there are some apps to download also but not sure how perfected they are.

Thanks, but the edge lighting doesn't seem to work either! I have it enabled for all app notifications, but nothing happens when I receive an email etc. Useless.

You could try changing the alway on display to come on for new notifications.
