Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) that I am trying to connect to an old laptop with Windows XP service pack 3. Neither the phone nor laptop recognise one another. The laptop will charge the phone but does not see the phone as another drive/data source. What do I need to make a data connection? Thanks.
when the phone is plugged into your laptop pull down the Notification bar on the phone. Is it showing as "Connected as a media device" by the USB icon? Are you using the cable that came with the phone?
