A54 auto restart

Had this phone since day one in April and as I remember my old A52 used to do a restart at a time of my choice, usually middle of the night which was perfect. However this new phone has the same idea but it's called auto optimisation and it's never done it yet in 5 month's.

Has anyone else got this to work and if so is my phone faulty?

It no longer does a auto restart on what time you would like it to as Samsung changed all that when Android 13 Ui.5 got rolled out.

@Michaelhb: The Battery and device care > Auto optimisation > Restart when needed option will only kick in when the phone is not in use, and if you have a number of background applications running, or memory that needs cleaning. If you perform these actions manually, and on a regular basis, then this might be why it hasn't been automatically enabled for you. Similarly, if you manually restart your phone, then this would also reduce the likelihood of an automated restart.
