Hi!
I have an A53 that started crashing and freezing about 24 hours ago. When the crashes occur, my only option is to do a force restart. The crashes are not app-specific. They have occurred while using Youtube, Teams, and Chrome as well as upon reboot.
I have cleared cache (including the cache partition), extended virtual RAM memory, and other things suggested short of doing a factory reset.
I took on the upgrade to Android 13 last week, so there's a possibility in my mind that's problem (can this be rolled back?).
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hie there was this resolved...myn also is doing it after I installed android 13...I actually saw the first glitch less that 5 minutes after I had installed android 13. Now the phone is useless and imagine it's less than 5 months since I bought it brand new..frustrated.

If you encounter this issue, you need to open up a warranty claim with Samsung. I am in the US and was able to mail my device to them. They did a factory reset that was able to get my phone working again. This was after taking it to an authorized service center and having them do a factory reset. I suggest going straight to the source. Whatever country you live in, call their support number and open up a ticket. Your phone should still be under warranty if it's less than a year old.

Does this problem have anything to do with the battery?

It is indeed surprising to hear that millions of Samsung users are reportedly facing issues with the A and M series, particularly with regards to the motherboard. Samsung, being a reputed company, is known for its rigorous testing and quality control measures. Therefore, it is unexpected that such a significant number of users are experiencing problems.
The choice of the Exynos series over Snapdragon is a strategic decision made by Samsung. While both are powerful processors, they have their unique strengths and weaknesses. However, if the Exynos series is indeed causing widespread issues, it is a matter of concern that warrants Samsung's attention.
Customer trust is paramount in the technology industry, and reports of such issues can significantly impact a company's reputation. It is crucial for Samsung to address these concerns promptly and transparently, ensuring that users are not left feeling that their investment was a waste of money.
In conclusion, while it is unusual for a company of Samsung's stature to face such issues, it is important to acknowledge and address them to maintain customer trust and satisfaction.
Samsung should take initiation and replace the bugs free of cost.

I had the same issue. I reset all app preferences, I put all apps in deep sleep mode I then opened the apps I used regularly until it happened again. I found one app that caused the phone to freeze and reboot. I then checked it in play store and it required and update. So far no issues. It's alot of messing about but it seems to work. Oh and you will have to set up all you apps on you home screen again.

Mine device just finished two years and they told me it is not under warranty anymore. Seeing that so many people the issue why are we being told to pay for a new motherboard? All the solutions provided by samsung are not helpful!

I have the same problem.. I had a 24 months warranty, and strangely the freezes started at the middle of the 25th month. It is either a truely stupid coincidence, or a pretty s****y move from Samsung. Cant decide...
