PM in Computers & IT I have just bought a new Samsung EVO SSD to upgrade my Lenovo Yoga 700 laptop. All was going well until I found that the screw holes on the SSD mounting brackets on the existing drive do not line up with the Samsung SSD.
Is it possible to purchase replacement brackets that fit both the Samsung SSD and Lenovo?
Thank you for your help.

Check you have the correct connector i.e is your pc SATA3 PCIe or Nvme as the connectors are different and are not interchangeable. The easiest way is to check against the SSD drive you took out and make sure the notches match. If you try to plug the wrong socket type in, or the wrong way round, it won't align and can cause damage. I'm presuming it is an M.2 type SSD and think the are SATA3 but it's worth checking up as they can change between models. Hope this helps
