Hi everybody
I bought an Odyssey G7 and received my Xbox Series S.
Apparently there is no HDR compatibility, because in the Xbox settings the HDR calibration tells me my screen is not compatible with HDR...
I've updated my G7 with the latest firmware (1009.3) but it doesn't change anything.
Is there a specific setting on the monitor ?
Thanks

Hey there.
I have the same issue as you do with the Odysse G5.
Already found a solution?
Lemme know something please.

Hey guys,
Unfortunately you can only get HDR on the Series S/X over a 4K signal. Im using the G7 with a Series X and can get HDR but only when i switch off freesync and have a 4k signal. So may not be possible on the Series S. This is not a monitor issue, its the xbox. Lets hope microsoft update this.

No solution? Thank you

would be more brilliant to verify first the minimum requirements from Xbox Team as the error message suggests "screen is not compatible with HDR"
G7 monitor

And why is there an update for the g5 fixing the problem???

if you Disable Freesync the Hdr works at 120 Hz so it's pretty good

Why is it not possible to use HDR & Freesync? Thank you

i'm a bit late here to this conversation, but has anyone with the g7 on xbox series x have a washed out dark looking hdr? even after i calibrate everything, it just seems to still look so dark, even if i turn the contrast all the way down. is there a fix to this or any settings i need to do on the monitor itself?

HDR implementation is still a bit shady... Far Cry 5 looks pretty good, probably the best ive seen, but, you would need to turn your black level down on the monitor, make sure local dimming is on on the monitor and turn up the brightness to max, also the monitor is only partially HDR i believe so you would need to adjust for that in game settings
