My Book2 is a couple of years old now. What's the support status? Does it still get OEM drivers?

An Intel utility says there are newer drivers available from them. My display driver, for example, was last updated Feb 2022, Intel has one many versions later released Feb 2024.

Should I now be installing Intel rather than Samsung OEM drivers?

I have the non 360 version, Intel advise against this, their site even adds a warning ⚠️ to use the Samsung ones.

Agree some are outdated, but do you check via the Samsung Update tool ?

Hi,

Yes, Samsung's tool shows no updates since that one in 2022, but Intel have continued to release them. I wondered if Samsung have now stopped with the OEM ones.

Yep, seen the warning. You'd lose any Samsung customisations. It's not just the display driver though. Bluetooth, WiFi etc. too.

I preordered my book2 pro 360 so I've had it since day 1 and I'm pretty sure the graphics driver has never been updated. I have updated to newer ones twice but ended reverting back due to loss of HDR. I have however kept updating the WiFi and Bluetooth drivers with success. Actually my laptop wouldn't connect over WiFi 6e when I got it until I updated to the current driver straight from Intel.
