Hi, Sharing this in case it helps others. I was having intermittent issues using my Samsung Series 8 TV using WiFi to connect the Q990C soundbar. In that the TV would see the soundbar but then not be able to connect to it .. but then would if I used a wired connection, but then the Smarthings App would not use it as a source, or it would select it then it would disappear.
What solved the problem is turning off Wifi band steering on my internet modem, which I think it was putting the TV on 5Ghz and as I'd set the Q990C up on 2.4GHz. Now I have the TV connected to wire and the TV must also be using 2.4ghz to connect to the Q990c. With band steering it was switching the TV to 5GHz (therefore turning off 2.4ghz radio modem) breaking the connection. I’m going to reset up the Q990C on 5GHz with the TV still wired to see if that works as I’d like DTS Atmos to have access to more bandwdith #Q990C #series8
