WhatsApp not connecting after one ui8 update to watch 7

I updated my galaxy S25 yesterday to UI8 and now I can't link my galaxy watch 7 WhatsApp to my phone's WhatsApp it was working perfectly fine before I resetted the watch and Uninstalled the WhatsApp on the phone and on the watch both I restarted my devices. But it doesn't seem to help after. I tried to link my watch's WhatsApp to my phone. It says enter the code on my phone. But on my watch, it says " something went wrong" and then it goes to the play store and says to update the whatsapp.But there is no update option.It just says open whatsapp. I'm confused i think other users are also reporting this problem.

I would honestly wait for a update from WhatsApp cause i have a s24U with Watch 7 and got no problems yet so it is mostly meta who needs to send a update out

Hmm, yeah, I think it started right after I updated my phone, but hopefully they'll fix it soon.

Maybe contact meta costumes support on play store and let them know about this problem so they can send out a update

Exactly the same issue, but strangely my connection problems only started 2 weeks after I had upgraded my s25u to one ui 8.0.

Mine just got fixed today after a whatsapp update on both phone and watch works good now

Mine too. I first reinstalled whatsapp wearOS and it didn't work. Then I found I had to go to Playstore on the Watch and confirm to update the app. Now it works , all good.
