Hey @Terie! You can see an image on the watch when the image itself is the only new message or the first one in the WhatsApp chat. It can also help turning off the Edge Lighting Notification WhatsApp. You can do this by heading to: Settings > Display > Navigate to and touch Edge screen > Edge lighting > Manage notifications > Disable Edge Lighting Notification Slider WhatsApp.
