Watch (Active 2) sometimes misses sleep time

Sometimes my watch doesn't seem to recognise that I was asleep for most of the night. This example is typical. 

It only recognised sleep after about 6am.

What am I missing?

Make sure you're wearing it tight enough. If it can't detect your heart rate it won't record sleep data.
