Watch 7 bike workout

The watch 7 has a lot of features but also has extremely annoying features!  Could anyone help with the weather information not being displayed on any bike workout I save please?

I previously had a Garmin which always showed me the weather (wind speed and direction and rain/sun conditions).  However, even though the location permission setting is set on Samsung Health, the weather is not displayed in the workout detail.

Thanks in advance.

In case anyone else has the same problem, this is how I fixed it on the phone.

Reset the watch and didn't reconnect it because I gave it away to a relative.  I then recorded a bike ride on the phone only without using the watch at all.  This time the weather was recorded on the phone.  I guess it must have been a glitch on the watch

Update November 2: I have recorded several workouts on the heath app on the phone and discovered that if you do not have an internet connection when you start the workout, the weather is not stored or displayed!  I believe that is the resolution to the problem I had.

@smg1  If you have the time, could you confirm that on your watch please?  Thanks.

Samsung told me to carry out the following steps until the issue was resolved:

  • Reinstall Samsung Health
  • Restart watch
  • Factory Reset watch
  • provide log files

I also use my watches (6 classic and 7 ultra) for my bike too. If you start the routine manually, the route you cycled and the WEATHER is given in the Samsung Health App in your workout details

Just to clarify, you have to view the workout on your phone

Thank you for your prompt reply!  Sorry I should have mentioned I was looking on the phone.

Where do you see it please? On the Garmin it is at the bottom right hand corner of the map showing the route (from the workout on the phone) which is where I expected to find it.  However it's nowhere on the details of my ride.

The weather is only provided if you start the routine manually and it's under the heart rate zones at the very bottom

Thanks very much.

Unfortunately my workout shows nothing under the heart rate!

Could it be a regional problem as I'm in the UK? Or could it be the fact that I had no Internet connection during the workout?

I'm in the UK, too. I'm at a lose why you don't see the westher. As long as your setting off the activity manually.

Thanks @smg1 .

I read on another site that it is a location permission os Samsung health on the watch. Mine was set to only when app is in use (cos I'm fussy about permissions) but I've now changed that to always.  Let's see if that works.
