Recently I started measuring my blood pressure with my Watch3 and the results are puzzling. After calibrating the blood pressure routine the results always are around the values at which I calibrated the watch. E.g. after first calibration my BP was 3 times around 115/75, whatever I did after the results fluctuated between about 120/78 and 111/73 (even directly after a one hour intensive training). Some days later I re-calibrated the watch while my BP was somewhat higher (around 130/82). All BP measurements afterward fluctuate aroudn these values with a range of about 4-5 mmHg.

Does anyone else have this experience? How do you rate the reliability of the BP measurement?

I used to do weekly bodyshape trainings and wanted to keep track of my heart rate during the execise and recovery. I noticed two things which are bizar and unacceptable (I start wearing the watch at least one hour before training starts):

1. I normally have a pulse of around 55-62. Just before the training usually the reported heart rate is around 120bpm. During training it sometimes switches to around 70-160, but usually at the end of the training, after cooling down i flips again to around 120. It seems that it 'detects' double rates whereas I'm sure I have no Afib (ECG is normal and detects normal low HR) or other rhythm disorders.

2. After the training, when the summary is sent to the watch, it usually appears that the analysis report extreme high percentage in the max zone, whereas when I look into the app, the distribution is much more towards the aerobe heart rate. So the analysis of the watch and the app are completely different. Looking at the numbers it seems that in the watch the distribution over the quintiles of the maximum HR reached at that particular training is used whereas in the app it calculates the quintiles over the max heart rate zones as set in the app.  The difference is not explained anywhere so which is correct?

Do others using the Galaxy Watch the same unexpected outcomes of the measurments?

Hallo @Mike B,

Thank you for your message. Is your Watch3 fully updated and did you follow the instruction like the following link?

Dear Ajay, I followed the instructions, even did a complete reset (without restoring the backup to be sure settings will not bias the measurements)
Greetings

Hallo Mike B,

Via the Samsung Members-app you can also send in an error report to my colleagues of the R&D department. They can investigate this and when this can be resolved by an update this will be rolled out as soon as possible.

With kind regards,

Ajay

Dear Ajay, unfortunately I've, in the past, reported this in the Member-app, but this has not lead to any action by Samsung. This is very disappointing. Toghether with the problem I reported about the heart rate detection and wrong analysis this makes the Watch3 completely unreliable and useless for keeping track of your physical condition and progress of your training.
