Unlocking phone

Morning all and Happy New Year

My Galaxy watch keeps telling me to 'unlock phone first', A33 5g. I have looked through the phone trying to find a hidden unlocking feature to be able to use the apps on the watch, but can't seem to find it!

@Sharon654: Please can you confirm the model number of your watch, so I'm able to look into this further for you? When your Galaxy A33 is unlocked, do you have the Galaxy Wearable app open?
