The App Update breaks the app entirely, cannot connect

The update from a couple of weeks ago is broken.

 

The app will NOT connect to the phone fully, it goes through the motions of connecting then fails at the last hurdle.

 

This is DEFINATELY the app at fault because I have cleared this version out, then reinstalled the previous version which connects instantly, however in this previous version the Store will not connect.

 

This Update has broken my £200+ smartwatch and rendered it into a £10 dumb watch.

 

Samsung?
