How do I choose tennis in activity tracker in S health app on my Gear S3?  I see it listed in S health app on my phone but not as an option on my watch...

Hi, @Mshaw1515

We can confirm you are only able to select tennis as an activity on the watch, however the watch will automatically detect that you are playing tennis when you are playing.

I tried and tried. The Tennis activity is not showing up on the watch and the watch DOES NOT detect when you play. The activities pre configured on the watch I could not figure how to edit (add / delete/ rearrange order)

Hope someone can suggest the way.

Best regards

I think that you wanted to write that we are only able to select tennis as an activity in S Health on our smartphones, but not on our s gear s3 smartwatches...it would be great if S Health on smartwatches would support same activities, that we can choose, as they are supported in S Health on smartphones (why should I play tennis with my smartphone in a pocket if I have a gear s3 on my hand?)!

It is on my phone in Samsung Sheth app

Please tell my how to add table tenis to my watch. If you can do auto tracking will be awesome

Same problem here since release of Samsung Watch S3.

That's really worse one. I've played Squash and Tennis several years and it's still not possible to add / edit / remove any activity from smartphone to smartwatch.

I've reported this issue two years ago. And I just got a typically standard response.

Thumbs down!

I'm facing the same problem.

On my research Samsung hasn't done anything about this issue since this topic was created.

I tried to find a workaround but unsuccessful.

Does anyone has any idea how to track tennis?

I see this topic has been raised over 2 years ago, and still no option for Squash or Tennis on the lastets Smartwatch models.... Samsung, please... I just bought a Galaxy Watch 46mm, and this is a huge dissapointment.

@TimKennt: Sorry to hear of your disappointment regarding this feature. Although it's not ideal I recommend checking the Google Play Store for a stand alone tennis tracker app, using user reviews and download numbers to help you make an informed decision. Alternatively you can use the 'Other Exercise' option in S Health to capture your exercise statistics, such as heart rate.

Hello Andrew,

this reply is a another disappointment. There are a lot of peoples, who don't want install and use third party apps, when Samsung has already had a "good" health app. Another unneccessary registration, etc.

So please, inform the developers, they should make us possible to add any of the lot of workouts, which is on Samsung Health app (for mobile) already available.

@AndrewL: do you really mean this? I would be ashamed to tell this. This means years and years Samsung is not developping smart watches anymore, only a new layout?

You should be ashamed saying that the users not to use another app (or watch) to track any racket sport. So you are also suggesting NOT to buy the Watch of Samsung. This is what I conclude. Samsung be ashamed!

My feeling is Samsung eventually will add a dummy "tennis" app trying to fool us. An app that says tennis but basically will track nothing more than the Other exercise does

Xiaomi and all other ***** is capable with tennis and galaxy watch doesn't.

It's a shame, that I can not return my watch because of this reason.

I hope samsung team will do something about this activity...

No chance

Activity tracking in Samsung sucks

Mostly is a timer. Rowing tracking does not record strokes just time. Same with many other. What's the use of having so many sensors if they use just the timer

Next watch will not be Samsung

Samsung forgets clients once they sell the product.

They concentrate on the next product and support is a joke

Best tracker is using a pod which you can place on your racket (squash, badminton, tennis). Just have a look at actofit website: https://www.actofit.com/product/actofit-badminton-tracker/

Next watch is definitely not a Samsung one. They don't inovate anymore. Also store for the watch is only having skins (other GUI's) to display hour, but that's it. No app for IP camera's, no real apps, ....

Very disappointing Samsung!!!

What is the meaning of having the option to select e.g. tennis on the smartphone but not on the watch? Does Samsung expect their customers being more likely to play tennis with the smartphone in hands than wearing the watch?
