My Galaxy Watch recently got an update and since then the swimming app prematurely crashes. I usually swim 40 laps and I rely on the watch to keep count, but since the update the app would just totally quit at 20+ or 30+ laps. One moment i would see the counter, and then when i check again the all i see is the main screen. When i go back to swimming it starts a whole new activity.
I have tried hard resetting the watch, but the problem persists. How do i stop this?

Hey, @NIck C.
Have you double checked that the app is completely up to date? Follow these steps here:
Step 1. Enter the Galaxy Store.
Step 2. Tap on the Watch icon.
Step 3. Navigate to Menu > Updates.
Step 4. Tap on Watch tab > Update all.
To download individual updates, tap the Update icon to the right of the app.

I have exactly the same issue.
Seemed to start early April.
One UI 2.0
Tizen 5.5.0.1
S/W Ver R800XXU1FUD1
All my apps are up to date.

Hi.. a fix was proposed, but i haven't been able to test it, as COVID restrictions has closed all the pools where i am 😣
But so far it has not crashed when running or using elliptical machine, which is a good sign.

How did you get the fix?

I did the updates as proposed by Danny above. Another thing you can try is to disable the weather app, and auto sports detection.
