Smart Lock on Galaxy Watch 4

I can set my phone to stay unlocked whilst it's near my watch, so why can't I set my watch to stay unlocked whilst it's near my phone?

I find entering a pin or drawing the pattern to be quite fiddly on a small screen, so it's annoying that I have to do it every time I take my watch off - eg to charge, even when it's right in front of me.

Hopefully one day watches will get under-screen fingerprint scanners!

How did you set up this function, Keeping the phone unlocked while your watch was near by Please?

Go on to your phone's settings and search for "smart lock" and then "trusted devices". Enable your watch, done!
