Hi all, new to the community. Is anyone aware on a way to switch off wrist detection as I'm heavily tattooed round the wrist, due to this I'm not getting notications all the time due to the watch thinking it's not being worn when it is.
I 100% agree. Every single Gear/Galaxy watch I've owned had the option to allow notifications while you weren't "wearing" the watch. Or at least while it thought you weren't. This brand new GW4 did away with that option. I was promised by a Samsung rep it would be fixed in an update. Who knows whether that's in a week, or a year. It's a flat out shame too, because the watch prompts you that alarms/reminders will come through even if you're not wearing it. The software capability is there, they just have to allow us the option in settings. In the meantime my GW4 classic AND GW4 are both flat out un-usable as I don't get ANY notifications on either of them thanks to my sleeved arms.
Did u ever figure it out I having the same issue samsung seems to think the tattoos aren't a problem according to there specialist lol but seems like my watch works on everyone else accept me my wife has small not full tattoos and it works I completely covered no skin and doesn't did u actually figure out a solution or am I screwed what a useless way to keep a loyal custom almost seems like they are discriminating people with sleeves
Hope this resolve this with software update I'm sure it easy for them
